Event Information:

Over the past few years, many employees have experienced significant change in their work environment with a large portion transitioning from working full-time in-person to working remotely during the pandemic and now moving into a hybrid work environment. These changes pose significant challenges for both organizations and workers. Leaders and HR professionals can leverage coaching skills to help employees adapt to this new normal. 
Outline:

  1.  Discuss work environment trends and the related effects.
  2.  Discover the biggest benefits and challenges of a hybrid environment for both companies and workers.
  3.  Understand how leaders and HR professionals can leverage coaching can to help mitigate challenges.
  4. Identify coaching skills that are critical to effective coaching in a hybrid environment

TOM KILLEN

Tom is the Vice President of Community Outreach for the ICF Charlotte Area Charter Chapter and is an executive coach at Core Leadership. 

With over 20 years as a talent leader in Fortune 100 companies such as TIAA, Bank of America, and Home Depot, Tom helps leaders accelerate their development, achieve exceptional results, and reach their potential. He coaches frontline, mid-level and executive leaders in a variety of roles, including general managers and functional leaders. Tom’s areas of expertise include executive, leadership, and career coaching, executive assessment, leadership development, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. 

Tom’s approach to coaching combines extensive experience in dynamic organizations with his expertise in human motivation and performance. He creates a safe space for his clients, listens to their needs and challenges them to take the steps they need to achieve higher levels of success. 

Tom earned an M.S. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology at Clemson University, is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, and has achieved SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications.
